On the northern coast of Yucatán are the natural parks Rio Lagartos and San Felipe, surrounded by lagoons, mangroves and jungle that create the perfect setting for fly fishing tarpoon and juvenile tarpoon. Fishing in this protected biosphere is abundant because only sporting and handicraft fishing is allowed.
We're going to take you fishing to a very shallow system of lagoons with depths of.5 to 3 meters of approximately 74 kilometers in length. These features create a special, fun and exclusive environment for fly fishing.
What to Fish
Our native guides with more than 12 years of experience will take you to the strategic points of Lagartos and San Felipe lagoons where you can fish: tarpon, juvenile tarpon, permit, snook, and jack. The best season is from May to September, on this date comes the tarpoon migration, so the fishing is very good.

How to get there
Arrive at the international airport of Mérida, from there we pick you up and take you to the small village of Rio Lagarto which is 2hrs 47 minutes away by road.
