Puerto Escondido - also known as Puerto Loreto - is a small natural harbor belonging to the municipality of Loreto in Baja California Sur. Because of its water inlets deep enough to allow anchoring of boats, as well as its own protection against the big waves of the Sea of Cortez, it has become one of the most special natural marinas in northern Mexico.
