How to get to Guerrero Negro?
You can get there from La Paz, drive up along the Sea of Cortez, passing through Loreto and Santa Rosalia, and then cross the San Francisco mountain range to get to the town, next to the Mexican Pacific.
From Tijuana you can drive south on Transpeninsular Highway 1. This trip takes approximately ten hours, although the scenery is worth it.
What to fish?
Guerrero Negro is an excellent place for sport fishing. There you can find striped marlin, blue marlin, black marlin and sailfish, mahi mahi, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, roosterfish, groupers and jacks.
