Sport Fishing in Balancan
Located on the banks of the Usumacinta River and also bordered by the San Pedro Mártir River, Balancan offers an unparalleled place for sport fishing.
The Usumacinta River has a length of 1123 km and is the largest river in Mexico and Central America. During its course through Balancán, this river forms small islands such as Misicab, Frente Unico, Multé and Netzahualcóyotl. The Salsipuedes, Chumpán, San Joaquín and Pejelagarto rivers run along the border with the state of Campeche.
Balancán is characterized for being the habitat of a rich wildlife. Here we can find deer, rabbits, wild pigs, wild boar, wild boar, turtles, turtles, pochitoque, parrots, lizards, parakeets, chachalaca, pijije and various kinds of snakes.

How to get there?
By airplane to the capital of Tabasco, Villahermosa. Villahermosa International Airport receives daily flights from Houston, Texas; Mexico City; Tampico, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Cd. del Carmen, Merida, Cancun and Havana, Cuba. These flights are operated by the main airlines.
From Villahermosa to Balancán 190 km, approximately 2h 34m, on highway 186, turn left at km 149.
