Take your fishing pole and come be the next bass catcher world record winner!
Imagine a 26 pound bass, four pounds bigger than the world record. Legend says that in 1991 a fisherman caught it on this dam, but there is only a picture to prove it. What we know for sure is that the Gustavo Diaz Ordaz, also known as Bacurato, located in the municipality of Sinaloa de Leyva in the state of Sinaloa, is considered one of the best places to catch largemouth bass, some of them over 10 pounds in weight (5 kilograms).
Surrounded by mountains and famous because of its Monster bass legend, Baccarac is waiting for you and friends to come and fish there. We have everything, boats, bank-side cabins, equipment and transportation. This dam also has very good flying connectivity, having access not only through the Culiacan airport, only 3 hours away, or the Mochis Airport at only 2 and half hours. Best of all is that there is a landing strip only ten minutes away from the dam.
What to fish
Try to break the record and be part of the legend by catching the biggest largemouth bass in Bacurato.
Also in cons the typical tilapia and catfish for commercial fishing.
How to get there
The closest airport is Los Mochis Airport. We will pick you up at the airport and after two and a half hours of incredible scenery you will arrive at the fishing spot and live an adventure you will not forget.
At nomonday we are convinced that the most important contribution an angler can make to the habitat of his fishing spot is by practicing catch and release. We invite you to adopt and respect this practice and promote it with all your fishing friends.
